14-day free trial

TC Pro's 14-day free trial is no-card. Start it from the pricing page — Stripe Checkout opens with the email field only, no card field, no auto-charge. Every Pro feature is unlocked for 14 days.

What you get during the trial

• +4 trial credits on day 1 so you can generate code immediately without needing to buy a pack first.
• Full Pro feature access — monitoring, goals, alerts, reports, free regen, workspace, branding. No watermark, no caps below the regular Pro quotas.
• 15% discount on credit packs — applies automatically at checkout while you're in the trial state.

Note: monthly + annual-bonus credits are not granted during the trial — those land on first paid invoice. That keeps the trial cheap for us and prevents trial-recycling abuse.

What converts a trial to paid

Add a card via the billing portal anytime during the 14 days. At day 14, Stripe attempts the first invoice. If it succeeds:

• The monthly 5 credits land in your workspace pool.
• If you picked annual, the +50-credit bonus lands too (one-time, idempotent).
• You get a one-time onboarding email confirming you're live on Pro.

What happens if you don't add a card

Stripe's subscription auto-cancels at the end of day 14. We listen for that and:

• Flip monitoring_enabled to false on every domain in your workspace.
• Pro tabs disappear from the dashboard.
• The ingest endpoint silently drops new events for those domains (your customer's site doesn't see an error).
• Your historical event counts stay visible — re-subscribing brings them back to life.
• Your workspace, domains, ID vault, generated codes, branding — all preserved.

No surprise charge. No card was ever held.

Common questions

Can I start a second trial later? The first trial is per Stripe customer; if you cancel + later return, you can resubscribe but you start paying immediately. The +2 trial credits are one-time.

I added a card during the trial — am I charged immediately? No. The card sits with Stripe until day 14's scheduled billing. To convert early (e.g. to get the included monthly credits), you can "End trial now" in the billing portal.

What if my card fails on day 14? Stripe retries per their dunning policy (3 attempts over ~10 days). During that window your subscription is in past_due state — Pro features stay accessible. If all retries fail, the subscription cancels and we behave the same as a non-converted trial.

Can I buy credits during the trial? Yes — the 15% discount applies. Your pack lives in your workspace immediately.
