What's new at TrackingCoder

New features, improvements, fixes and the occasional service incident, logged here as they happen. For anything urgent, email contact@trackingcoder.com.

  1. Improved

Add to Google Tag Manager is verified by Google and out of beta

Google has completed its verification of our Tag Manager integration. The unverified app notice is gone from the one-time connection step, the beta badge is retired, and one-click Add to Google Tag Manager is now the standard way to install your tracking. If you connected during the beta, nothing changes: it just keeps working.

  2. New

Bundles: set up related events in one go

The wizard now offers ready-made bundles for Google Analytics: E-commerce Essentials, Contact Clicks and Engagement Basics. Pick one and we generate all the related events together in a single GTM container, so one import (or one click with Add to Google Tag Manager) covers the lot. E-commerce Essentials works out of the box with Shopify, WooCommerce and more.

  3. New

Add to Google Tag Manager in one click (beta)

The biggest upgrade since launch: after generating your tracking, click Add to Google Tag Manager and we place every tag, trigger and variable directly in your GTM workspace. No file download, no import. You review and publish in GTM, so nothing goes live without you. While Google finishes verifying our integration you'll see an unverified app notice during the one-time connection, and the classic download and import option remains available.

  4. Improved

    Calendly & OpenTable booking tracking

We fixed an issue where booking-widget tracking could fire when the page loaded instead of when a booking was completed. Tracking generated for Calendly and OpenTable now fires only on the real completion. If you set this up before today, regenerate your snippet to pick up the fix.

  5. New

Free CMS Checker & WordPress Theme Detector

A new free tool: paste any URL to see the CMS or website builder behind it (WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and more), plus the WordPress theme and page builder it uses. No signup.

  6. New

    Free Website Tracking Checker

Our first free tool: check which analytics and ad pixels any website is running, including GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn and Microsoft. Great for auditing your own site or a prospect's before a pitch.

  7. New

TC Pro: keep your tracking working after launch

We launched TC Pro, an optional subscription that monitors your events in real time across every domain, attributes them to their traffic source, scores your goals, and alerts you the moment something breaks. 14-day free trial, no card.

  8. New

You can now earn cash commission for referring TrackingCoder. Share your link, and earn a growing percentage as you refer more customers.
